Common Mistakes
Mistake 1 โ Never reviewing test cases before execution
โ Wrong: Writing test cases and immediately executing them without any peer review or sign-off.
โ Correct: Having at least one peer review session where another tester reads through the test cases, checks for clarity, verifies expected results against requirements, and identifies missing scenarios.
Mistake 2 โ Keeping obsolete test cases in the active suite
โ Wrong: Maintaining 500 active test cases when 150 of them test features that were removed or completely redesigned two releases ago.
